Weight- and volume calculation
As the shipper of goods, you are responsible for stating the correct dimensions and weight of the consignment.
Any discrepancies in the stated size and weight are corrected above the freight payer when invoicing.
Conversion rules – freight calculation weight:
1 m3 = 333 kg.
1 loading meter = 2000 kg.
Loading meter: For goods which for some reason cannot be stacked or loaded together with other goods, either due to the nature of the goods or packaging, are calculated as loading meters.
This means that you pay for the space used in the cargo compartment.
1 load meter = vehicle’s width x 1 meter (2.4 x 1 meter).
One euro pallet – basic dimensions 120 x 80 cm = 1 pallet space = 0,4 loading meter = 800 kg.
